Natalya has been part of Vesta Logistik since 2014. She holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and she is active in the transport community since 2002. Vesta Logistik is one of THLG members in Russia and joined the Group in 2017.

Who owns the company?

VESTA Logistic Company is a privately owned company and the owners are still active in daily company life, despite the fact that the company has grown tremendously over the last 17 years.

Last year VESTA was in the TOP 10 Russian Freight forwarders by volume of operations and #1 Fleet owner in Moscow area, having over 600 trucks.

Where are your offices located?

With our first office established in Moscow back in 2003, VESTA network now consists of over 60 offices in 11 countries and is rapidly growing as another 3 country offices were opened in 2019.

However, our largest network of own offices is still in Russia where we cover all major locations.

* Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Poland, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, Argentina Hungary, Azerbaijan, and Colombia

Which ports are mainly used for project cargo in Russia?

Russia is huge and the choice of best routing depends on various factors.

Major ports are St. Petersburg, Novorossiysk and Vladivostok (in all 3 locations VESTA has own personnel), but we also execute projects using alternative ports (including river ports).

Which projects have you handled recently?

We traditionally handle a lot of projects for the oil and gas industry, but for the last 3 years we are deeply involved into wind energy business and service one of the world's leading windmill producer.

One of our biggest ongoing projects is ROOPPUR Nuclear Plant in Bagladesh, constructed in cooperation with ROSATOM, for which we organize turn-key service by providing procurement / documentation / customs clearance / transportation from suppliers in Russia all the way till construction site in Bangladesh.

Is shipping a competitive sector in Russia? How do you ensure that you will stand out?

Project management is something which you cannot start from scratch. Competition is there, but it is all about experience, professionalism, assets, know-how. It takes a long time to obtain all that and become an important player in this industry.

Our key strength is the competence to handle turn-key projects to the most distant and difficultly accessible areas, which is a challenge for most of the projects in mining and O&G industries, while many of freight forwarders do not operate further than Moscow and St. Petersburg regions.

What made you join the industry?

It was a logical step considering our rapid growth and customers portfolio. Although we are still much in the general cargo business, our project division grows much faster over the last years.

What do you like the most about your business?

In this business you learn to think out of the box, learn to customize the service for your client, nothing becomes impossible to you.

You partner with various organizations worldwide, which is one of the most valuable things and which led us to join THLG few years ago. It helps you to grow both geographically and professionally much faster.
