Locomotives usually go by rail but when the final destination is Taiwan these locomotives had to face both transport by road and sea to reach their final destination. The two locomotives, 21 tonnes and 41 tonnes respectively, were loaded onto low loader trailers with rails running the length of the bed. They were transshipped by crane from the trailers to railway mafis, which are ships’ trailers specifically designed for locomotives. After securing with bespoke lashing equipment, both locomotives were shipped to Taiwan.
